The following photographs were taken by Terry Renner between 1965 and 1969 whilst serving his navigation officer apprenticeship in the Merchant Navy with R.S. Dalgliesh Ltd., sailing on the Warkworth, Silksworth,
and held the position of 3rd Mate on the Ravensworth. He is a Canadian citizen and returned to Canada in 1969.
Watergate Steam Ship Company; R.S. Dalgliesh Ltd. of Liverpool was founded in 1906 by Robert Stanley Dalgliesh when he purchased an eleven year old tramp steamer and renamed her S.S. Kenilworth.
The Company sadly went into liquidation in 1979.
