A lovely rurally situated four-bedroomed house, completely restored near the medieval town of Palluau-sur-Indre. Sleeps 8/9

Woodburner and electric central heating, kitchen equipped with cooker, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine leading onto terrace with beautiful countryside views.

In this tranquil location you are still within easy travel distance of many amusements, both for adults and children. Close to the Brenne, possibly France’s finest Nature Reserve with its many lakes whilst Tours and the Loire chateaux region; Poitiers (location of Futuroscope), Beauval Zoo at St. Aignan, Haute Touche (safari park style park), Limoges and Chateauroux are all within easy day trip visiting distances. There is are both outdoor and indoor swimming pools locally (Buzançais and Chatillon, with lifeguards) plus Belle Bouche, known as the inland sea which has a large array of water sport facilities for hire including wind surfing and a man-made beach with roped off safe swimming area and beautiful walks. A wonderful place to spend the day it also has a restaurant, picnic and barbeque facilities. There is also a local tourist train (Le train du Bas Berry) running from Ecueille to the lake at Luçay during the summer season. There are many signposted walks in the area for both the beginner and the dedicated rambler. Several riding stables also within easy driving. The entire area contains many restaurants and Auberges with a wide range of menus at reasonable rates. Chateauroux, capital of the department, has three swimming pools (including one with ‘wave’ action), shops, ten pin bowling and a variety of museums, cinemas and theatres. Many local lakes offer day licenses for the fisherman too. This is just a selection of the treats on offer but there are many more for you to discover.
Rates : High season of July and August … 500 Euros per week
All other time … 400 Euros per week
Also two night weekend available (excluding July and August) … 200 Euros (addition night available for 50 Euros extra)
