I was 3rd Mate of the MV "Treglission" on anchor watch when the Seistan blew up. We were anchored approximately ¼ mile away when the explosion happened and within in minutes lunched our lifeboats which were in the water for the rest of the night, searching for survivors. I have photos taken the next morning of the bow protruding out of the water. If anyone is interested I can attatch these to an e-mail.

Salaams Jim,
as the author of the article on Seistan I'd be extremely interested in posting your photos of the aftermath of Seistan's explosion on the site. Please send scans to bobbie@merchantnavyofficers.com or fredmno@aol.com We'd also be interseted in posting any of your comments pertaining to the incident.
